Shirley's council tax post triggered a thought or two

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGk4AKOwJbc      and

- and as I could do with cheering up today what are our favourite novelty clips?

Golden Oldies

Some animal themes :)

And a tiny bit more modern, not really a comedy song, but this video always gets me laughing (in a nice way) ... I think the dancing is great ;)

Here is 3 to enjoy, plenty to more find on you tube

Oh go on, 4 then, they are sooooo good

But how could I leave out the Trumpton/Camberwick Green duo?

(watch the last one at least as it is from the much missed "Whistle Test")

Must stop now, this is too addictive!

I think I like them so much because they have so many cultural references to my long lost youth.

OGA - thanks for the Paddy song - it's brilliant

I had forgotten that one, but I have now listened to it twice on the trot.

It is so funny because I can imagine it actually happened in the dim and distant days before 'elf & safety.

ps. the video is great, too :)

Better known as a great character actor, but Joe Pesci's song "You can take your love and shove it" always makes me smile.

... the Allen Sherman one was one of the most popular on Junior choice with Ed Stuart of a weekend.

And what a great way to start the day with Eric and Little Ern.

I'm trying to stop laughing before my colleagues think I'm not actually doing any work at all! :)

I think my favourite so far is Stepurhan's 'Brains' - excellent stuff.

Flight Of The Conchords...

Anything written byt these parody folk duo is great. You should all jump on youtube and check them out. Business Time is an amazing song.

Good work, FoC is brilliant! Here's a clip for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2LpeA3jcEU

You should all watch the shows too, they're just brilliant!

I also love Tim Minchin, I'm sure you all know him by now, but here's one for you anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6raVzrbqrM

And this one also makes me laugh, but you should be warned there is some loud swearing in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lktd1OBHVI&feature=related

What about Tom Lehrer?

Given another thread in this group, maybe his Christmas Carol would be appropriate.

Ducks, the hidden menace

stepurhan | | Permalink

March of the Sinister Ducks, that lays this waddling threat to our way of life bare.

The vocalist is Alan Moore, who some may be more familiar with for his comic-writing abilities.

The big duck in the video is the double of Constantly Confused.

I enjoyed the link :)
