Sales Ledger management

I am finding that I am being asked more and more by VT users how they can extract their sales ledger data into Excel and csv files. They can't and VT has confirmed this, but surely, as the software is Excel based it would not be too difficult to accomodate this request.

I use the software for my own practice accounts and would appreciate this function too.

Does anyone else agree?

Hello Miles,

I think that if you display the sales ledger then you can copy the data (using the edit tab) then open Excel and paste the data. That should work.

VT have said they have their own agenda (they call it their "roadmap") up to September 2013. It involves development of their own tax programme and spreadsheet replacement, and there will be no improvements to VTT+ until then. I think this is a shame, as I think improving VTT+ is more urgent than bringing another tax programme to the market, but it is their company and presumably their planned projects are more profitable than improving VTT+. Can't argue with that!
