Best and Funniest Christmas Gifts?

As I contemplate another Christmas incinerating the turkey roast in my favourite I'm Cooking the Books! apron, I wonder what are the funniest or best Christmas gifts other accountants have received from clients or colleagues?

Best and Funniest Christmas Gifts!    1 thanks

By far the best gift at Christmas for me is found in John Chapter 3 verse 16 (Bible) - "for God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life!'.  What a great gift!

10 years ago, I  received an executive briefcase from our office landlord: Contained therein was a complete set of knives (including a large meat cleaver and sharpening tools)!  I still use the set today.

I don't recall ever receiving anything funny.

That time of year, already?

My mother means well but has the strangest sartorial taste ever, and in no way does it line up with mine. One year when I was a recent graduate, she decided to buy me a suit -- a scratchy brown suit -- and a blouse to go with it. The blouse had this ugly brown and orange, floral and lattice pattern on it. I was speechlessly contemplating how to react when my (not so tactful) sister said, "Is that a tablecloth?" We all laughed and needless to say the suit and blouse went back to the shop!

Animated Christmas cards

A client sent us an animated Xmas card featuring a video clip sequence with partner and staff features superimposed on santa and his reindeers.

We then got the same animated e card from three other clients.

I once got a multi pack of toffee crisp chocolate bars from a work colleague. It wasn't a joke, nor do I usually eat them, so it was very confusing

thanks Ray

I am not sure what you use the knives for, but if a middle aged suit carrying an executive briefcase approaches me I will treat him with caution.

Regarding the first gift, this is of course absolutely priceless, and can be received at any time. I suspect i got mine a few years before you, 10th September 1970 to be precise,  Unlike the case of knives this cannot be bettered.was last more than a lifetime.

but i did receive something funny. A friend in Canada sent me the New Yorker Desk Diary  2013, 52 of the wittiest cartoons I have ever seen

Be blessed in the New Year, Accountancy is an honorable profession. Read Romans 13 to see.

Don't know anything about you, Razia, but was this a suggestion you talk too much for her taste, and these keep your teeth together for a while? OR had she recently finihed the audit of a company that made toffee crisp chocolate bars?
