I love The Darkness' Christmas song too - it's so cheesy and nostalgic but still really catchy :-)

For me, it's got to be songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas though. Even though half of them aren't remotely festive, that's always what gets me in the holiday mood. I watch it every Christmas Eve and it still scares me!

I'm with Cathy - give me the pogues any day and a vat of something festive to drown Cliff Richard in.

Even better I've just found the whole album this comes from on Spotify: Bob Rivers & Twisted Radio, 'Twisted Christmas Boxed Set'. Now downloaded onto the iPod for in-car entertainment over the festive season. O Little Town of Bethlehem to the tune of House of the Rising Sun a la The Animals - sublime!

Nobody's mentioned Salde's "Merry Christmas Everyone ". Perhaps understandably so.

But this year I heard it performed by the Wirral Ukelele Orchestra and it took on a new dimension.
