Budget preparations see light of day
The Treasury has made yet more preview material available in preparation for the 2012 Budget next month.
The most recently published documents include additional PDFs for the consultation on draft legislation for the Finance Bill 2012.
The government announced the following in the last week:
- Landfill Tax: Application to Scottish Landfill Sites
- Air Passenger Duty (APD): Devolution of rates to Northern Ireland
Prior to that, the government published these in January:
- Post-cessation trade relief: tax-generated payments or events
- Controlled foreign companies and foreign permanent establishments - revised consultation draft
And finally, yesterday saw the annoucement of retrospective legislation in the bill that will close down two avoidance schemes used by Barclays Bank.
