Business Cloud Summit. 5 Dec - free passes

Hurry folks - if you'd like to attend Sift Media's Business Cloud Summit, there's a giveaway running this week for Ten free passes (worth £499).

This year's event focusses on 'The Practical Cloud' and provides delegates with the expert insight required for efficient Cloud Computing transition and operations. Quote 'AWEB1' to claim your free pass. Please private message me if you find they're already taken and I'll see what I can do to wrangle some spare invites.

If you are planning to come along, I'll be moderating a session at 4.40pm on "Making the Cloud add up" with IDC Research Manager for European Enterprise Applications, Spencer Izard, and Mac Scott from KPMG subsidiary Xantos. The conversation will cover the economics of the Cloud, including how to calculate return on investment and how to produce total cost of ownership comparisons with on premise computing models.

I'll be feeding in material that has been presented here, but what other points do you think should be raised? For example, are there intangible benefits of Cloud use that should be factored in, and how would you quantify them in an ROI/TCO calculation? Over to you...
