Early notification of 2012/13 PAYE

Why are we being bombarded in January, when we are busy with income tax returns, with P30B "Paying PAYE electronically" letters and P30BC payslip booklets for 2012/13, with masses of addressed envelopes, for clients, when the first 2012/13 PAYE payment is not due for another 4 months?

The end of March would be more than early enough for this bulk mailing by HMRC.

HMRC needs a Communications Manager

I agree.  We seem to be wasting a lot of time re-directing / filing the great bundles that come through the post everyday.  HMRC really should hire someone (or fire if already there) to look at how and when they communicate with agents / customers :(

I don't agree with Paul.

We receive these letters for clients who are paying electronically or for whom nil payments are being notified online.  The diehard payslip clients, along with some clients for whom we notify nil payments online, get payslip booklets with a dozen addressed envelopes, even if they pay by bank giro.

I discovered this page a while ago...

I have still received some books this year, but not nearly as many as last year.  For all the unwanted ones that have arrived, I have gone straight on line and filled this page in again.

So maybe I can stop them in the end...

I have still received letters for many of the others, (and I agree with Euan - the timing is a pain) but it is not quite as bad as a blockade of booklets on the doormat.
