Ok
It is a Europa, he built if himself a number of years ago in his garage. the wings are detachable and it can go on a trailer so it can be kept in the garage and taken to whichever airfield he wants. He is a CAA approved engineer so he can do maintenance and certificates of airworthiness on various homebuilt and microlight aircraft in his spare time.
His wife thought if you can't beat them ... so she got her private pilots licence too, and then went even further and got a commercial licence and is authorised to do aerobatics too, and is now a flying instructor at a local airfield! So proving actually you can beat them!
Have I been in it - no way Jose, although I did let my son for a birthday treat. (I don't think he would let me though, as weight is king in aeronautics!)
reminds me of the car
reminds me of the car/aeroplane featured by Jeremy May whch you can drive as a car and then convert to a plane.I think from the 1960s.
