Made me giggle anyway

It is an amusing story anyway (plus educational, who knew giving someone 11 2p coins was illegal!), but my favourite part is that he wanted to charge the client storage for holding onto his coins :)

Illegal
The thought that occurred to me was that if coppers are only legal tender up to 20p, does this mean that if a shopkeeper kindly accepts 21p in coppers then he/she is guilty of aiding and abetting? Also possibly money laundering?
It also means that I've witnessed dozens of pensioners and students brazenly committing crime right in front of me!
