I love the song One. Personally I thought Blige destroyed it . Totally the wrong key .  I do like other cover versions of this song though.

This is the one for me , a forgotten song by U2 .  I saw them sing this live when I was 16 used to watch them for 50p at the Market. It always blows me away .  The old photos are really good as well.

Although, IMVHO, Joshua Tree is there definitive album, it is one of teh few albums I can listen to whatever mood i am in and will always end up feeling good, which is ironic as it explores some disturbing themes.

U2 are in my opinion at their finest when they concentrate on the fine Irish tradition of protest songs against injustices and hardship.

Hi 

I do know what you mean their at their best during  protest.  As you will know I am major U2 fan.   But it annoys me that their not given the credit they deserve for all their albums .  That Video of Running to a Stand still is U2 striped back beautifully the same reason I like stay.  The thing is they can do both so when you go to see them their concerts are really something. You need both as you do run out of energy when you go to a concert.   Out of Control , can have you out of breath . 

There are very few artists that can do that with the choice of songs they can choose from.  I do find it funny the haters of U2 never mention who they actually think are better.   

I love all types of music , so I am not a big fan  of artists been so heavily criticised.  Everyone has their own taste.  But if U2 were so rubbish as some claim.  Then they have made a lot of money been rubbish so  I was thinking I might change my job and see if I can make as much at been rubbish.
