Sky Go
My wife has just got a tablet. I'm jealous because I can't justify using one!
I had seen the Sky Go adverts that make out you can watch Sky on your tablet/smartphone. It turns out that you can only watch Sky Go on Apple devices.
Sky says that they hope to have Sky Go available on Android devices by winter - I bet that means mid March 2012!
It seems like advertising people have no shame.
Doesn't worry me ...
... Hell will freeze over before I subscribe to Sky!
Really
that is just how I think of Apple
Funny ...
... same goes for Apple with me too. Can't stand touchy slidey mousey screeny type things, they set my teeth on edge, in much the same way (for those old enough to know) as finger nails down a blackboard, that's aside from the lemming factor.
This was interesting!

spot on
and I wish she would win!!!
You know my views on football but my husband has always been a sports supporter (which is why we have sky). To be able to buy cheaper services would be great. The satellite services I watch tend to be available on digital tv anyway.
Talking of which my reception is far worse than analogue ever was
and to rant on I agree with CC, Sky Player was far better. My mobile is just a phone with camers, no internet or complicated functions, but I used to be able to watch my sky on 4 registered computers/laptops so whichever daughter or event I was visiting I could watch. Now I only get to watch on 2!!!
And...
... I swear I used to be able to watch Sky programs for free 'on demand' on my pc. In fact I used to tease my sister that she had to pay BT to watch their catch up service.
Now I have to 'rent' the first episode of the latest series of Futurama (I missed the first 2 eps but recorded the rest) and pay for the privilege of watching something that was shown for free weeks ago.
How did we cope ...
... when all the teams played at 3pm on a Saturday and if you wanted to see the match live you had to get off your butt and go and watch?
Personally, MoTD is fantastic, you get to see all the bits worth seeing and don't waste your life watching hours of dross. I get on with my life on a weekend, I don't have to know blow by blow how the matches are going, it really isn't that important - and settle down with Gary and pals to find out the scores, secure in the knowledge my chores are all done!
@CC
I had to reregister to get the system to recognise my package - but some programmes they do now seem to charge for so I stopped watching!! I pay enough on my main subscription. I think that may be to encourage you to move to phone services too and anytime+ - but I could be completely wrong
OGA
The only bit of football / rugby tv I enjoy is on Saturday afternoon I think - it is a line of commentators watching a different match each on a monitor and their reactions - whilst I don't understand many of the semantics - is priceless entertainment. Although my dad used to always watch with the sound off as he said the commentators got in the way
Ah, I used to love ....
... watching the results come in on the tele printer, none of this i-phone malarky (now thats a good one for the word thread!)
Grrr

Which would be all well and good, but I already HAVE telephone, broadband and HD+ with them! Our router is the other side of the house and I don't want to pay £60 for a wireless bit for the Sky box to give me Anytime, so I assumed using the laptop program would be a work around.
Sadly not :(
All the programs get repeated
All the programs get repeated any on 5 USA or 5* eventually so why bother paying sky it is not like any of the programs are that great. Makes no difference what you see them on. For the record I do like my Apple products as well as MIcrosoft .

It also..
... seems to be only a few select programs. From memory it was the sports channels and live footage of a couple of other channels.
Given it seems to have replaced Sky Player (which was a catalogue of programs to watch for free) I am very annoyed.
