VT Fact Viewer - Automation error (iXBRL)
I have just tried to generate my first iXBRL file in VT only to come up against the following error:
VT Fact Viewer
Automation error
The specified module cannot be found.
The above error has occurred. This is may be because the file contains tags that are not valid iXBRL.”
I have looked at all the tags and they all appear to be fine, so I am at a loss as to what the error message even means. Any suggestions would be gratefully received
Panic Over
It appears the problem lay with my installation of Excel 2007, not with VT. I downloaded a trial of Office 2010 and the generation of an iXBRL file was instantaneous.
Thanks

OK for me so far 1 thanks
I've filed about 20 sets of limited company accounts in VT iXBRL so far. No problems as yet. For all files which were previously created before the wonders of iXBRL the tagging does not work properly.
I just create a new file, and it takes about 30 minutes to copy and paste the notes etc. from the non-XBRL set of accounts into the new file. So far this has worked every time, no problems with the HMRC checks or anything like that.
