Plans for Feb?

Our website is being redesigned so that prospective and existing clients can sign up to our blog, receiving updates on tax saving tips etc. We did use a large marketing business to manage this for us but the generic content was killing us. This year we will be writing short articles depending on the year. Some will be free and some will require some sort of sign up process to access premium content.

In addition we are specifically targeting start-ups and those businesses requiring outside investment this year. By working with our HNWI and others we are hoping to grow our practice through providing tax efficient investments in small businesses. This should give us a two fold increase in fees.

Good old networking and inbound marketing will be the order of the day.

Just spending the evening stuffing envelopes for a local mailshot to introduce ourselves. (It's the sort of sad thing I do on a Friday night)

Vague ideas for March mailshot need to be sorted out and any external printing done this month.

Website SEO is top for 2 of 3 chosen areas so working on third. More material drafted ready to put onto site and a few more ideas to draft.

Generally getting to know everybody around here and new networking group next week.

We are launching a new website because our old one wasn't SEO'd and as a result wasn't really getting much traffic. Also set ourselves up on Twitter and generally trying to use social media to generate interest in the new site, which "fingers crossed" will be up tomorrow!

Have you tried mailshots in the past? Much Success?

Currently getting quotes to redo our Edinburgh letting agent site using Umbraco CMS. This will alow us to vary and add new content, and hopefully do a better job of persuading potential clients. We have also dipped our toes in the social media game - a few referrals from Facebook and LinkedIN but not yet convinced it's the best use of our time.
