Caption Competition

What on earth's happened to the caption competition? It's not the most important page on the site by a long chalk but it's always a good source of light relief on a tedious Friday afternoon. Sadly it's now almost impossible to find. Searching for it only provides a list of previous competitions going back over a year and in no particular order. There's no link on the homepage and when you do find the recent competitions there's no longer an option to vote for your favourite and we aren't told who's won. What a mess!!

It's in "Time out"

Top right on the headings menu/link bar. Then scroll down to see the last competition posted 24/7/9.

Thanks for posting Martin, you're quite right. The caption competition is now in the Time Out section and we post new ones there every Friday.

Unfortunately, all the excitement with Eddie Izzard last Friday rather distracted us and we forgot to post one last week. That means this week's will be a roll over, with two bottles of wine up for grabs!

But who won?

I can see who the winner was for 10 July, because the winning caption now displays beside the picture, but this is not the case for 17 and 24 July. I think that this was one of the points that sluglet was making. Is there something we're missing here?

Kind regards

Shirley

Apologies for the delay

You're right, we didn't announce the winners for the last two caption competitions. We have now, so congratulations sluglet and kevlaw respectively. The winning posts are displayed in the relevant threads.

Thanks for pointing this out, we will try to keep on top of it in future and announce them regularly.
