An Accountant's Trip to the Country
In his first week as a Secondee, the City accountant was sent out to visit a remote client on the Isle of Skye. As he roared along the sinlge track road, in his open-top Triumph Roadster, he espied a field of flowing daffodils. Screeching to a halt in the nearest layby, he thought he would pick up a bunch for his girl-friend who had been saddened to follow him from the Big Smoke to such a God-forsaken island location.
He leapt over the fence and was soon gathering a lovely bunch of the yellow flowers. Despite being an Accountant, he failed to notice the largest Bull he had ever seen raise his head and look at him just 50yds ahead. He panicked and looked about him only to see an old Crofter leaning against a fence strainer, smoking his pipe and eyeing proceedings.
"Is that Bull safe? " enquired the Citylink?
"Aye," came the reply. "The Bull is quite safe, but I wouldnt say the same about you when he catches you!"
