Assistant accountant or accounts assistant

I know the question is a few months old now...

Just a personal opinion, but I've always considered an Assistant Accountant a more middle/senior role, whereas Accounts Assistant is more akin to a bookkeeper/clerk, but it depends on the size of the organisation - if it's a very small business the roles are probably pretty fluid anyway.

Not that any agency would ever "sex up" a job description *cough* ...
