Hot Spots
You may be forgiven for thinking that we are referring here to holiday hot spots, however, we are thinking about business instead. It might be August but some of us are still hard at it.
Where are the business hot spots? If we are to devote time and energy to securing additional work with existing clients and new work from new clients, where should our priorities lie?
Researching databases such as onesource or mint can provide real time information on industry trends and specific businesses. A simple google search can generate hits identifying what's happening in particular verticals. As business advisers you are often the first to know the inside track on which business sectors are on the up and conversely those that are suffering.
Using our time wisely can mean that a little research in the right area and we uncover a genuine hot spot that leads to new work and ultimately new revenues. Hands up if you would like more of that - yes, me too!
