Paperless practice research project
This post is intended as an explanation for my sudden burst of activity in this group. Over the next month, I'm preparing a series of articles looking at some of the more advanced benefits of going paperless within accountancy firms. I like to think of it in terms of "second wave" adoption: the things that may not have triggered the move into document management, but which have emerged as firms develop more experience and confidence in the technology.
I'll be compiling a series of articles for AccountingWEB, but Charles will also be helping out with his own research and a whitepaper that will draw together the evidence we gather and distil it into some practical recommendations.
This is where you come in. My articles are going to cover four separate areas, and I've posted separate threads to collect views and experiences on each of them:
- Client service
- Marketing
- Tax processing (old thread - please add your comments to what has already been said).
- Internal processes and workflows.
Have we set out the right priorities? And are there any important points you would raise before advising a fellow practitioner to expore these avenues?
With the help of those who have gone before, we anticipate creating a series of guides that will deliver practical benefits for all. Thanks in advance for your help.
