Voice Recognition Software

Does anyone have any experience with Voice Recognition Software please?  I used one version years ago but found it just didn't work well enough to be useful.  Yesterday, I tried the software Microsoft provides and that doesn't seem much better.  Is it worth the effort of persevering with the training or does it not really improve much?  Is there any particular software anyone would recommend please?

I suggest you try Dragon Naturally Speaking software. It does a very fine job.
