update 10.5.1

Why don't you ask on the IRIS Accountancy Practice Customer Forum?

They sent an email on Thursday 28th April that said it would be out "next week"

When it hadn't appeared by 4.30pm last Friday I called them up and they said it would be "sometime this week".

I get the impression they keep finding problems with it and are holding back until they are sorted.

according to an e-mail I received today!

I wish they had ironed out the problems. We can no longer run ixbrl accounts since the update!

...but haven't tried preparing any year end accounts in it yet.

May I ask what went wrong with the iXBRL accounts? I ran a couple of sets of iXBRL prior to the update, but haven't tried since.

We are running 10.4.1 and i was going to install 10.5 and 10.5.1 this evening.

I'm currently on hold to Iris to see if they admit there are any issues with 10.5.1

Just talked to Iris (25 minute wait!) and they said there are a lot of problems with 10.5.1 and it is going to be pulled from their website. They are advising to stick with 10.5.0 for now. No indication yet when 10.5.1 will be stable.

Downloaded yesterday and installed last night.  Filing iXBRL returns & accounts no problem, and nothing else coming up so far.

Guess its wait and see if they list the problems to see if we can recreate here to confirm its an issue.

Had been holding back loading 10.5 and 10.5.1 and had not produced iXbrl accounts before.  Now loaded and used and have been surprised at the lack of problems using iXbrl.  Accounts prepared and filed online.
