Sage and Macs
Hi All
Have a client who runs Sage Line 50 2011 for 5 users over the network.
Server is brand new, network cards and switches all new at speeds recommended by Sgae. It works great apart that one machine is a mac. parralels have been put on the mac. One day it works, the next it keeps crashing.
Any one got any experience of this as i have no idea. I have disabled the antivirus etc just in case but still have problems.
Thanks
no error message
No error message. You can use any other programmes with the windows paralel.. Sage freezes and will ot start going.. we have left it for a long time and nothing.
W can acces the sage data folder.
Parallels
I'd assume in that case it is something to do with Parallels.
Sage only say that Sage 50 can be run on a Mac via Boot Camp (they don't mention Parallels or any other VM) so would installing Boot Camp and then installing Sage on that be a viable option for the Mac?
John
Paralels
We have bben through parale support and sent them a data dump when it crashed, we have changed a few things as per their suggestion but to no avail..
Bootcamp not really an option... I think we may just set up a laptop next to him and run sage from there.
I just can not understand why it is not working.
MAC \ Windows Permissions?
Where is the dat abeing stored: MAC or Windows? It may be that there are permission \ access problems between the 2 systems. You may want to test using an admin account to see if that helps.

Sage & Macs
When you say it crashes, do you get any error messages? When it does crash, can you access the network folder that the Sage data is stored in from the Paralels session on the Mac?
