QuickBooks VAT Cash Accounting

I'm finding this a nightmare. As submitted entries aren't filed, any amendments in a subequent VAT period, to those in a previous VAT period (including allocations of receipts/payments to invoices/bills) are easily missed as they don't appear in the subsequent VAT period. Also, reconciling these to the control accounts is complicated and time consuming. Has anyone any experience or useful tips about this?

Search
there are numerous threads on this search at the front page.

if you have the original print outs for the vat returns then i suggest that you recreate these and file accordingy.

depending on which version you are using you can file or unfile the individual transactions by going to the vat control account and right clickikg in the filed column.

so if you change the mark you can agree your vat rutrns etc
