The Business Software Satisfaction Awards 2007

Glitz, glamour, thrills – it could have been the Baftas. The best of the business software world gathered on 9 October for the second annual Business Software Satisfaction Awards 2007 in the magnificent surroundings of The Brewery in central London. Nineteen awards were up for grabs, for accounting and finance, CRM, HR and training, and excitement was running high. It was, as one winner said, a real new media event. The awards were the culmination of months of voting by software users, who were asked to rate their particular software for ease of use, functionality, reliability and value for money. Because the awards were the work of users, not a hand picked panel of judges, the results reflect the spectrum of developers – small and large, established and relative newcomers. So often the bridesmaid, said one, it’s great to have won something at last!
