The company’s rapid growth has created the need for a more specialised and up to date financial management system. The award winning* IRIS Exchequer accounting system (www.iris.co.uk/exchequer) will manage the back office processes and integrate tightly with the specialist system, Minisell, to be used by the field sales force. Tailored systems with appropriate industry functionality are increasingly being specified in the competitive wholesale and distribution sectors to meet mounting business challenges.
Exchequer’s ability to integrate with Minisell and create a complete business solution proved to be a key factor in the decision process, as Beverley Ross, Sales Director, explained: “One of the key advantages of the Exchequer system is the way in which it integrates with Minisell. The tight integration between the two systems will allow the company to process large volumes of transactions remotely and more efficiently and at the same time eradicate errors.”
The implementation of the new systems represents a critical next stage for Tayberry (www.tayberry.co.uk) in its bid to move forward and expand. Beverley continued: “In order for us to take advantage of all of the opportunities on offer and to work with larger customers that have more sophisticated needs, we need to invest in a financial management system that can cope with our complex discounting and stock matrices and allow us to manage the business more efficiently. Exchequer has impressed us all.”
The team is looking forward to taking full advantage of Exchequer’s extensive reporting capabilities as their previous accounting package was particularly weak in this area. When assessing IRIS Exchequer, Tayberry was impressed by the way the system could drill-down on financial data rather than just report on numbers, providing an easy to use, fast and flexible tool that will allow the company to support financial data with effective analysis. Beverley added: “We like the fact that every member of staff is allocated as a cost centre so will be able to analyse each individual’s costs.”
Manual processes have dominated to date and the company is looking forward to becoming virtually paperless with the adoption of the Exchequer paperless and the innovative Sentimail modules. Those working in the field will be able to feed information into the systems remotely and improve efficiency, especially in the raising credits.
Beverley concluded: “In order for Tayberry to meet tomorrow’s business challenges, we must ensure we have the right technology in place to support our growth. Exchequer will help us to improve our service to customers while reducing costs.”
The 10 user system is expected to go live on July 1st 2008.
