Ministers asked to look into mileage allowance rates

The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) is asking Government Ministers to look again at the Authorised Mileage Allowance Payment Rates (AMAP).

Following massive fuel price increases HM Revenue and Customs has taken the unusual step of increasing, with immediate effect, the advisory fuel rates that employers may reimburse company car drivers for business mileage.
