Digita’s award-winning Personal Tax product has been acquired by Tesco PLC, one of the world's leading international retailers.

Digita Personal Tax will provide Tesco with in-house capability of handling the tax return compliance of more complicated tax situations for selected employees.

Jerry Rihll, managing director of Digita which was recently acquired by the Thomson Reuters Group, expressed his delight at the deal.

He said: “We operate in a highly competitive market and have been gratified by a number of significant business wins in recent months.

“We are especially delighted that a business of the status of Tesco has opted for Digita Personal Tax to support its employees as it not only demonstrates the functionality of the product but the breadth of its application for tax practitioners in business outside the accountancy profession.”
