Charterz R Us: The campaign for statutory rights

Consultation is still open on the Taxpayers' Charter. Accountingweb.co.uk has joined forces with Taxation magazine to campaign for statutory rights for taxpayers.

Consultation on the charter has now closed.

What are the main issues?

  1. New HMRC powers of inspection are not automatically matched with corresponding statutory safeguards.
