The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has been busy developing a financial reporting framework for companies in the UK that fall under the umbrella of ‘small and medium’. This will typically affect approximately 90% of companies within the UK. The IASB published a document in February 2007 – ‘International Financial Reporting Standard for Small-Medium Entities’ which was commonly referred to as ‘IFRSSME’.
