A group of accountants and business intelligence software experts have collaborated to create a spreadsheet-like planning and budgeting tool called XLPlanning. John Stokdyk reports.
Former Microsoft/FRx executive Tony Crowhurst is XLPlanning's business development manager. Having left the wreckage of Microsoft's PerformancePoint Server BI suite behind, he is now working to promote a product that "we believe achieves 80% of a traditional planning application at 20% of the price".
