Editor's Note

The 2008 budget was anything but exciting; which is just as well given the output of the pre-budget report. The chancellor managed to pulled the best possible 'rabbit' out of his hat by showing that he has been listening to his critics when it comes to small business tax and announced the postponement of the government’s income shifting proposals. Well done to all who have supported the campaign to postpone the changes, all our efforts have paid off. It will be extremely interesting to see what will appear in their place, but then again, tomorrow is another day.

Best wishes
