ALG Software has upgraded its Enterprise Performance Optimisation (EPO) suite to enable companies to take advantage of the analytical power of Activity-Based Management across larger volumes of transaction data than previously possible. The new solution provides large enterprises with the ability to rapidly carry out complex profitability and costing analysis running into millions of customers and product lines, and easily share the information with business managers.

The new version of EPO helps organisations in markets such as banking, insurance, telecommunications and logistics.

Jersey Post Group is implementing a web-enabled Activity Based Costing solution to help it comply with new Government competition regulations being introduced in March 2005. ALG Software's Metify ABM will enable The Jersey Post Group to demonstrate the true cost of its products and services and provide transparency of costs.

ALG's Metify solution allows Jersey Post to model each business unit and analyse activities to give an accurate cost of providing each product and service.

WHSmith High Street, part of WHSmith PLC, has selected ALG Software's Predictive Planning application to enable its finance and operational teams to forecast the resource requirements for each store. This will enable WHSmith to better align staffing requirements with trading patterns.

ALG's web-based Predictive Planning tool will provide WHSmith with rapid, flexible and more accurate staffing budgets for the 550 plus UK-based retail stores.
