Invu up for four business awards for saving accountants thousands of pounds of chargeable hours
Blisworth, Sept 2009: A Midlands company that has helped thousands of recession-hit accountants and their clients save vital time and money has been rewarded with nominations in four major business awards.
Invu’s document management platform reduces the time spent on searching for internal documents by around an hour every day for each fee-earner*, freeing up valuable resource to work on more productive pursuits. According to independent research carried out by YouGov in 2008, UK Chartered Accountants lose over £2 million per day in fees looking for documents.
Endorsed by over 500 Accountancy practices, Invu’s new Invu for Accountants software is short listed for the Accountancy Age Awards in the Small Software Package of the Year. The Invu development team has over 40 years experience within the Accountancy sector and has used this knowledge working alongside Accountancy practices to create an intuitive, powerful and very compatible document management system available with integration to both IRIS and Sage.
Invu has also been short listed in the paperless office category for the Software Satisfaction Awards. This year over 8,100 votes were cast making the survey one of the largest individual pieces of business opinion research in the UK. Voted entirely by users of the software, this is a great testament to how the product is perceived in the marketplace.
Also short listed for the Orange National Business Awards – the ‘UK’s business Oscars’, according to PM Gordon Brown –and a number of categories in the Document Management Awards, brings Invu’s tally this year to 4 Award nominations.
Colin Gallick, Invu’s CEO, is delighted with the nominations: “Being short listed for four major awards including Accountancy Age is an impressive feat for any company and we’re extremely proud to be recognised in this way. It’s vindication of 12 years hard work helping accountants and their business clients to streamline their operations and, whatever the outcome on awards night, we’ll continue to make sure Accountants have a robust infrastructure for their valuable files.”
Integrating seamlessly with existing back office programmes, Invu helps organisations to comply with the Data Protection Act. It also directly addresses AIIM** findings that 55 per cent of businesses have little or no confidence that important emails are recorded, complete and retrievable with its Invu Email Capture feature. Anecdotal evidence from practices shows that up to 85% of documents and communications is in email and attachment form, often held locally and lost to the wider practice.
As well as freeing up valuable physical storage space, Invu meets environmental and CSR requirements by helping businesses cut their paper usage.
