Seven-fold increase in demand for PBR summary from CCH

The appetite for detailed commentary on the Chancellor’s Pre-Budget Report on 9 December meant unprecedented demand for rapid and simplified analysis, according to CCH, the leading information provider in the tax and accounting sector, part of Wolters Kluwer.

CCH’s annual Pre-Budget Report summary this year saw a seven-fold increase in demand for its service, which was available within five and a half hours of the Chancellor sitting down.

CCH publisher, Nicole Johnson, says: "We always expect a high level of interest in pre-budget report summaries but the dramatic increase suggests that this year financial planners are needing detailed analysis quickly to advise their clients."

Additional investment in social networking by CCH this year allowed rapid publication of the PBR summaries. The CCH Blog, the new CCH Twitter site – CCHVoice - and CCH’s online subscription services were all extensively employed to get the analysis out to accountants and tax advisers as quickly as possible.
