Yorkshire accountancy firm Barber Harrison & Platt (BHP) has joined up with York-based Barron & Barron to form a regional firm with a turnover of £ 12m.
The combined firm has a team of 216 people with offices in Sheffield, Leeds, Harrogate, Chesterfield and now York.
In York the firm will now practice as BHP Barron & Barron. Barron & Barron was founded in 1893 and current partners Guy Ward and Richard Bailey and staff will continue to work in the merged firm.
This isn’t the first merger for BHP; in 2011 the firm added Mitchells of Leeds and Harrogate to its portfolio.
BHP managing partner John Warner said merging with Barron & Barron will help to further the firms’ plans for expansion.
