Australian software group Reckon has acquired a strategic stake UK document management specialist Lindenhouse for an initial Aus$9m, with an option to acquire the company in full at a later date.
A long-serving distributor of QuickBooks in Australia, Reckon moved into the practice market with the acquisition of APS in 2004. The tie-up with Lindenhouse will bring its Virtual Cabinet and online document-sharing portal to an international audience as well as the UK user base.
Lindenhouse will continue to operate as usual from its Cambridge base and retain its partnerships with document and practice management suppliers including Invu and Star.
