AIA SUPPORTS PROFESSIONS WEEK 2013
UK's first ever Professions Week will run from 21–27 October 2013 with the aim to increase interest and awareness among 14–19 year olds in the professions. It will also support teachers and careers advisors, giving them the relevant materials to help young people make informed decisions with regards to the professions.
Professions Week follows the release of a Sterling White Paper in August 2012, titled "Access to the Professions". The week will not only focus on giving support to educational advisors and raising awareness of the professions, but will also help increase the visibility of professional bodies and their role in helping the economy.
The Association of International Accountants (AIA) will support and participate in Professions Week through a series of articles and case studies focusing on the benefits and awards of studying towards a rewarding career in accountancy.
AIA offers a range of qualifications and educational opportunities to suit all kinds of people looking to enter the accountancy profession, at all stages of their lives and careers; from school leavers, to graduates, to those who are already working.
