Aqilla Version 1108 is released

JOURNAL CORRECTIONS
A new function has been added under the Journals tab to enable corrections to be made to journals that have been posted to the ledger.

The function requests a Journal Number and displays the details of the transactions within that journal. The user is able to make amendments to the fields shown as editable and Post the changes back to the ledger to the currently selected period. An example of a sales invoice journal is shown below.

The journal correction function does not allow values to be changed and will prevent changes to accounts if the transaction has been allocated or subject to a VAT return.

The posting process creates a new journal consisting of a reversal of the original lines that were changed and the newly changed lines. The new changed line will contain all other information from the original line including allocation details and links to the original source document. The reversal and original lines are marked in the ledger so that they can be omitted from enquiries and reports. Note that the correction journal consists of only the changed lines.

Account and Ledger enquiry have an additional selection option to view corrections. By default the corrections are hidden so that only the corrected information is displayed. For reference purposes, an additional column displays the journal number of the original transaction on any corrected lines.

Corrected transactions are generally hidden in reports and enquiries (in particular, Debtor Statements and Creditor Remittances) to avoid the confusion of any corrections from the underlying data.

EXPENSE ENQUIRY
The selections available have been enhanced to provide more flexibility. In particular, it is now possible to select by the State of the expense sheets (i.e. Entered, Released, Approved, Rejected, etc.) and select expense for an individual person.
