The CPAA (Certified Public Accountants Association) is delighted to announce the launch of its brand new website. It’s been a while in the making, but with the fresh look, improved functionality and some great new features, Association members are already finding it to have been well worth the wait!

A content led approach
As well as delivering an improved user experience with a clean look and clearer navigation, the new CPAA site is to have a greater focus on content to keep Association members better informed and support them with their day-to-day activity. In addition to posting regular news, features and opinion on the subjects that matter most, a magazine archive and library of information will be readily available.

CPAA Company Secretary, Paul Matthews said, “Members should find the site clear, concise, and easier to navigate. Importantly, it is now more article driven and focused on what Practicing Accountants really want”.

Exclusive educational programme
The site also comes with a valuable new training portal, giving members the freedom to complete CPD online. Any training completed on this great new educational tool will count towards structured CPD requirements. In addition to this helpful resource, the CPAA will continue to offer access to their Knowledge site, providing the latest information on HMRC updates, tax tables and rates, allowances, legislation, references, help topics, and other essential information for the Accountant in Public Practice.

Recognising the changing landscape of accountancy
While the Association continues to go through a name change from the ACPA to the CPAA, they have been in existence since 1989 and have been well placed to see how the accounting landscape has changed in this time. In particular, they recognise that practitioners not only need the right type of support and information, they also need it at their fingertips across multiple platforms and devices -A change which the new website aims to reflect.

The new site, which has a responsive design for optimised viewing on any device, will remain the ‘hub’ for support and content, but the CPAA are keen to be fully accessible to members and non-members alike and can also now be found on various social channels. These include Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and LinkedIn, where they’ll be sharing the latest news, opinion and conversation.

While the new website and social channels are merely the first step in an ongoing programme of improved support for the accountancy profession, it seems the CPAA is evolving in a positive direction – with great feedback already received from both members and partners.  The future looks good for the CPAA and its members.
