Version One plants 340 trees in partnership with Tree Appeal
Document management and imaging software author, Version One, today has planted 340 trees in the grounds of Cheadle Hulme School as part of Version One’s environmental initiative, in partnership with Tree Appeal. This tree planting, which forms part of Version One’s environmental initiative, ties-in with the company’s development of ‘paperless office’ software.
Version One’s trees are being planted in the grounds of Cheadle Hulme School, in partnership with Tree Appeal, an organisation which plants trees to promote biodiversity, create new habitats and improve the environment. 340 Blackthorn and Hawthorn trees are being planted in the School grounds to create hedgerows.
Hedgerows are particularly beneficial for the environment, creating sustainable habitats for wildlife, reducing pollution and providing vital food sources for mammals, birds, and insects.
Version One has been planting trees in School grounds and sustainable forests throughout the UK since 2006 and has planted 4,657 trees to date (including the Cheadle Hulme School trees).
Ken Whitley, Managing Director from Tree Appeal says, "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Version One for a sixth year now. It's clear that being green is at the heart of Version One's culture and their continued commitment to planting trees demonstrates that Version One is green in its actions, as well as its words."
Greg Ford, Managing Director of Version One says, "We are 100 per cent committed to sustainability, especially as our business is focused on eliminating the use of paper within UK organisations.”
Ford continues, “In partnership with Tree Appeal, we are delighted to be helping create wildlife habitats, secure biodiversity and provide an interactive environmental learning resource for pupils across the UK.”
Version One's portfolio of document management and imaging solutions enable the electronic creation, storage, retrieval, management, delivery and authorisation of business documents.
