The ICAEW and the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR) have signed an agreement to jointly promote and develop the accounting and auditing profession in both countries.
The agreement involves undertaking joint activities such as conferences, sharing of expertise and experience on technical matters and CPD iniatives for members.
ICAEW deputy president Martin Hagen said: “The ICAEW has, through its 132,000 members in over 160 countries and involvement with governments and accountancy bodies across the world, broad experience and expertise in dealing with international accounting standards and other regulatory requirements set at EU and international level".
“We are keen to work in partnership with other national accounting bodies to help promote and develop best practice, and look forward to working with CECCAR in doing so”.
