Calling all technology nerds - tax and practice software house Digita is running an "Icons of Technology" charity quiz that asks you to identify 40 of the industry's pioneers. Those who manage to identify all of the figures will enter a prize draw for an Apple iPod Touch.
The historical figures are assembled in an interactive graphical tableau inspired by Peter Blake's Sgt Pepper's album cover for the Beatles. As you click a face, a smaller window opens with a cryptic clue to the figure's role in IT history.
It's a tricky challenge. Discretion prohibits IT Zone from revealing how the team members performed, but let's just say the iPod is still up for grabs among those who think they know their technology history.
The competition runs until 30 June and entrants can come back to the Icons of Technology [1] page to update their answers as they identify new figures.
Apart from providing some light relief from P11Ds and accounts work, the Digita competition is being used to promote the Farms for City Children charity, which offers children from disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to stay on a working farm.
