Microsoft has opened up the beta test version of Microsoft Office Live Workspace to international Web users - as long as they can understand English. John Stokdyk reports.
Microsoft Office Live Workspace is a Web extension that lets Microsoft Office users store and access their documents online. It opened for preliminary trials in the US last autumn and is now available for free beta-testing as a rival to Google Docs and Spreadsheets.
The company said that it plans to expand the beta test program in the coming weeks with different language versions for international markets. The final, "public" edition should appear by the end of the year, according to Microsoft's press announcement.
