Microsoft previews Excel-friendly CRM 3.0

At its TechoEd 2005 conference in Amsterdam this week, Microsoft gave its business partners a preview of Microsoft CRM 3.0, which is due to come out around the end of this year.

Microsoft CRM is the first "native" .NET product to be developed by the Microsoft Business Solutions wing and is a good indicator of the company's technical thinking. The new version continues the trend of integrating business applications with Microsoft Office and will come with readymade reports and views that can be downloaded directly into Excel for analysis.

The CRM product will feature redesigned Outlook and web client interfaces that match the look and feel of Office tools.
