Nokia and Microsoft have confirmed a strategic partnership, which will eventually see Microsoft Office Mobile applications launch on Nokia’s E-series smartphones.
There’s little doubt the move, which begins in earnest next year with the release of Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile, is aimed at countering Research in Motion’s BlackBerry smartphones. The 2010 release of Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile apparently enables ‘enterprise’ instant messaging, along with claims of improved functionality for collaboration.
