AccountsIQ is an intelligent online accounting service from Visor, based in Ireland.

It has been written specifically as an online application using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and its Reporting Services module, while the front end employs a combination of Active Server Pages and Javascript. There are no requirements to download any applets or client-side components, and Visor claims the software is optimised to run efficiently even on a 56kbps dial-up connection.

Visor was founded in 2004 by Tony Connolly, a chartered accountant with extensive practice and IT experience. Tony sits on the IT Advisory Committee for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland (ICAI) and on the board of Business Reporting Ireland, which was established to promote the use of XBRL there.
