Digita to balance hot topics with practical training sessions.

The fourth annual conference organised by accountancy software developers Digita will focus on the needs of the company's existing users with training, product briefing and user group sessions aimed at ensuring delegates get best value from the two day event.

Organisers of the conference, which takes place at the Alveston Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, on March 29/30th, have already announced an impressive speaker programme including Arthur West from Companies House and Julian Hatt from HMRC and issues addressed will cover company identity theft , e-filing and the new style HMRC 'MTR' forms that are due to replace the SA personal tax forms.

However, Digita's Karen Green emphasised: 'Our conference is popular with a broad range of practitioners because it balances informed discussion concerning the profession's 'hot topics' with a very practical approach to everyday software issues and developments

'We will be providing sessions on a range of our products including:

' advanced training on Accounts Pro
' an update on Digita's progress on developing the definitive CGT system and for its planned delivery of a web service based data provision for securities CGT data
' Sentinel, part of their Company Secretarial product (CoSec Pro) which will provide extra security from company identity fraud by alerting users of the product when any forms relating to one of their incorporated business clients are tampered with at Companies House
' advanced training session on Digita's Co Tax pro focusing predominately on Deferred Tax and the new advanced features due to be released in April 2006.

Karen Green added that there will also be an open dialogue on 'Monitoring Asset Movements' and Digita's plans to have a single shared system for recording asset movements' across its range of tax and accounting systems.

She said: 'We listen very carefully to the feedback our delegates provide both after the conference and throughout the year so that we can deliver exactly what they are looking for.
