government is doing that might win your vote (figuratively
speaking): a revamp of company law, which, Patricia Hewitt says,
will save small businesses 100m pounds per annum, and business
in general billions.

How? A number of ways, including abolishing the need for a
company secretary (for SMEs), making the AGM opt-in, not opt-
out, and putting a greater emphasis on the use of e-
communications, removing the need for hard copy share
certificates...
