DEBT NEWS: More than a million considering insolvency. By Dan Martin

A fifth of people with debts of £10,000 or more are considering declaring themselves bankrupt, new research claims.

The poll by debt solutions firm Thomas Charles said its figures equate to 1.1 million adults who were thinking about insolvency.

When the same research was conducted in March this year, 13% of respondents revealed they were giving the matter serious thought.
