Decrease in company administrations hides pending crunch, say Deloitte
Research by Deloitte's business advisory wing shows that the first half of 2007 has seen a 15% decrease in administrations compared with the same period for 2006. 2007 has seen only 1,419 administrations so far, but the Big Four accoutancy firm is far from optimistic about the next six months. Rob Lewis reports.
Sectors that have seen the most marked decrease include recruitment and business services (58%), mining, energy and agriculture (34%) and printing and publishing (almost 29%).
