Directors’ salaries remain frozen but bonuses on the up

Pay freezes are keeping salaries static for many executives but bonus payments are back to pre-recession levels in some firms, according to new research from Deloitte.

Over half of FTSE350 companies have not increased their executive directors’ salaries over the last 12 months, while two thirds did not receive a pay rise the previous year either.

Despite this, directors at almost all FTSE100 companies received bonuses this year, with the average amount equalling 100% of their basic salary, rising to 140% in the top 30 public companies.
